Our events are designed to provide local mums with a chance to connect with each other while enjoying cake, coffee and a chat.
We offer information about local group classes and relevant businesses so that you can find the support you need as a new parent. We also have a toy corner, baby gyms, a play mat and baby scales!

The Local Mama
I'm Claire, your founder of
Mum of one and founder of The Local Mama; a supportive network for mums based in the Leicestershire.

I started this community because I credit my local Mum friends as those who 'got me through' the first year of being a parent. It is such a tough challenge having a baby and a quick chat with the health visitor now and then, doesn’t really cut it! Without being able to speak with those going through a similar thing (with zero judgment), I'd have felt very lost!

And so…The Local Mama was born. We create supportive, fun meetups in warm, welcoming venues where mums can enjoy cake, coffee, and chat while their babies play and interact with other little ones. Alongside physical events, we also provide valuable information about local groups, workshops and independent businesses tailored to parents.
